What we do

ice.domains is a domain name registrar and DNS provider. We offer registration across more than 1,200 top-level domains, from .com and .io to country codes, with transparent pricing and no upsell mazes. Every account also gets free DNS hosting on our global anycast network: unlimited zones, unlimited records, DNSSEC, a REST API, and dynamic DNS, at no cost and with no premium tier hiding the good parts.

Why free DNS?

DNS is the plumbing of the internet, and we think basic plumbing should not carry a monthly fee. We earn revenue from domain registrations and renewals; DNS hosting is infrastructure we already run at scale, so we open it to everyone, including domains registered at other registrars. It builds trust, and trust is the only durable marketing a registrar has.

How we operate

We are a small, engineering-led team. Support is handled over email by people who also operate the platform, which keeps answers fast and accurate. Our roadmap is driven by what users of the free DNS service and our registrar customers actually ask for, and we document how everything works in our DNS guides.
