Privacy Policy
Last updated July 11, 2026
1. Who we are
ice.domains provides domain name registration and DNS hosting. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have. Contact for privacy matters: support@ice.domains.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, and password hash when you register.
- Domain contact data: registrant contact details required by registries and ICANN for domain registration (name, address, email, phone).
- Payment data: processed entirely by Stripe or PayPal; we receive only transaction identifiers and status, never card numbers.
- Service data: DNS zones and records you create, domain search queries, and support messages.
- Technical data: IP addresses and request logs kept for security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.
3. How we use data
We use your data to provide the Services (register domains, serve DNS, process payments), to secure the platform (fraud and abuse prevention, security logging), to communicate with you (transactional emails such as renewal reminders and support replies), and to meet legal obligations including registry and ICANN requirements. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Sharing
Domain registrations require passing registrant contact data to the relevant registry and our accredited registrar partners. Where available we apply WHOIS privacy so your personal details are not published in public WHOIS. Payment data is shared with Stripe or PayPal as processors. We disclose data to authorities only when legally required.
5. Retention
Account and domain data are kept for as long as your account is active and as required by registry and tax rules afterwards. Security logs are retained for a limited period appropriate to their purpose. DNS zone data is deleted when you delete the zone or your account.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under the GDPR), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to certain processing, and receive a copy of data you provided. Write to support@ice.domains and we will respond within the statutory deadline. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
7. Cookies
We use only essential cookies: session and CSRF cookies required for login and security. We run no third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
8. Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page with an updated date. Material changes will be highlighted or announced by email where appropriate.
